California and other liberal-led states sued the Trump administration Friday over efforts to end gender-affirming care nationwide.

Joined by several other states, the lawsuit argues the Trump administration is infringing on state rights by trying to override California laws that protect access to gender-affirming care for transgender youth.

Bonta, and other attorney general, accused the administration of unlawfully coercing medical providers to drop care.

Former Vice President Kamala Harris said she would not run for public office because the system is “broken,” as she reflected on her decision not to pursue a gubernatorial run in California and spoke about what she views as “capitulation” by those tasked with guarding democracy during Donald Trump’s second administration.

Harris’s first post-election interview comes just days after she announced that she would not run for California governor.
