With Jayson Tatum facing a long recovery from a torn Achilles, should the Boston Celtics consider trading Jaylen Brown this offseason?

While the Celtics would love to hold on to Brown, he and Derrick White are the only two valuable trade assets they have, apart from Tatum. Jrue Holiday is 34 and is earning over $30 million a year, while Kristaps Porzingis is entering the final year of his deal in 2025-26.

Jaylen Brown alluded to some of the injury struggles he endured throughout the season and playoffs, but he declined to get into any specifics. After the Celtics lost to the Knicks in the second round of the playoffs, the extent of Brown’s knee injury was revealed as he played through a partially-torn meniscus.
