The Golden State Warriors stole Game 1 on the road against the Minnesota Timberwolves in their second-round playoff series, even without Stephen Curry for a majority of the game. That meant someone else needed to step up, and in this case it was Jimmy Butler and Buddy Hield, who combined for 44 points in the 99-88 win against the Wolves.

Despite losing their franchise player, the Warriors pulled together and won the game by a final score of 99-88. Once again, Draymond Green stepped up defensively and also took over a key leadership role.

Warriors superstar guard Steph Curry turned in a vintage fourth-quarter performance in the victory. Curry scored 14 of his 22 points in the final period, including going 5/6 from the field. Former New Orleans Pelicans center and current ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins thinks another championship for Curry would put the sharpshooting guard in rarified air.
