The wildfire burning along Highway 14 in the Columbia River Gorge is the state’s largest fire, covering 11,248 acres as of this morning.

A new wildfire erupted on the Washington side of the Columbia River Gorge the afternoon of July 18, which has closed Highway 14.

The Burdoin Fire in the Columbia River Gorge has scorched nearly 11,000 acres in Klickitat County, forcing a portion of Highway 14 to close.
