Court documents News 3 obtained show the victim involved in Wednesday's shooting off of Kenny Lane was a pregnant mother.

On the phone with 911, the 7-year-old boy told the dispatcher his father had shot his mother, who was pregnant.

A woman was shot on Kenny Lane in Portsmouth Wednesday night, police said. Around 8:39 p.m., Portsmouth Police responded to a shooting call in the 6700 block of Kenny Lane, and when officers arrived,

Police arrested 30-year-old Hasheed Ali Mills and charged him with aggravated murder, use of a firearm, shooting in the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a felon, and abuse and neglect of a child. He is being held without bond, according to a release.

A homicide on Kenny Lane in Portsmouth Wednesday night has been termed a domestic violence incident by police. Shaquana Jordan, 30, died at the hospital.
