A massive 70-member choir belted out Hallelujah to open a Martin Luther King Jr Day service at his former congregation in Atlanta, followed by a stern message from his youngest daughter warning against anti-woke rhetoric. The service at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta was among the most prominent commemorations planned across the country.

Born in Atlanta, civil rights icon and social activist, Martin Luther King Jr., made it his life mission to end segregation and fight for racial equality. He was shot and killed in Memphis at the age of 39.

Thousands of people gathered in-person and online to experience the 2025 Martin Luther King Jr. Beloved Community Commemorative Service at the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta.
