The Chicago Bulls don’t have a true replacement for Ayo Dosunmu, whom the medical team shut down for the season to address instability in his left shoulder.

INDIANAPOLIS — Coach Billy Donovan has referred to guard Ayo Dosunmu as the “catalyst” several times this season when discussing the run-and-gun philosophy the Bulls have adopted. That “catalyst” is done for the rest of the season.

Ayo Dosunmu will need four to six months to recover from shoulder surgery, but is expected to be ready for the start of next season.
