Sub-zero windchill temperatures to start the week have pushed Milwaukee County to extend availability at warming centers.

The Summit Lake Community Center at 380 W. Crosier St. in Akron will be open as a warming center from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Friday, along with the city's other community centers. The Emergency Overnight Shelter at 111 East Voris St. in Akron is open when temperatures dip below 15 degrees.
