President Trump declares Israel and Iran ceasefire agreement on Truth Social, stating the 12-day conflict will officially end after a phased 24-hour implementation.

As Mr. Trump last week weighed whether to use direct military force against Iran, a bipartisan contingent of lawmakers demanded that the president seek congressional approval before moving forward with any action.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the bombing campaign aimed to end the threats from Tehran’s nuclear program and ballistic missiles. He did not give a timetable for stopping the strikes.
