Kagiso Rabada stars as MI Cape Town beat two-time champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape to win their first SA20 title.

A sensational all-round performance steered MI Cape Town to the SA20 title as they denied two-time champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape in Saturday's final at the Wanderers.

After two seasons as basement dwellers, MI Cape Town crushed the two-time defending champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape by 76 runs in the SA20 final.

It was a true team effort from MI Cape Town – who finished bottom in both 2023 and 2024 – with the bat, as five players made totals of 20 or more – none scoring more than 39 runs
