On Tuesday, Georgia Bulldogs head coach Kirby Smart spoke with the media and offered some honest thoughts about a key game on the 2025 schedule.

A game in which Mark Richt was the head coach at Georgia, the 2025 version of the Alabama vs. Georgia matchup however will be the very first in Athens of the Kirby Smart era, which began back in 2016, while also Kalen DeBoer's first-ever trip to Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium.

The Georgia Bulldogs have been on fire with their 2026 recruiting class. Kirby Smart and company already have 30 commits locked in for next year's freshman group with a handful of critical targets still to go.

Nick Abrams II is a four-star linebacker from Owings Mills, Maryland. He's ranked as the No. 14 linebacker in the 2026 class, according to 247Sports, and the No. 6 player from his state. He's an elite linebacker recruit, and he has offers to boot. With 30 to his name, Abrams' final four came down to Georgia, Michigan, Oregon and Alabama.
