Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid will be a spectator for his team's first game in 2025 due to a sprained left foot that will prevent him from playing Wednesday against the Sacramento Kings. Embiid was initially listed as out due to rest before the team later changed his designation to the foot ailment.

Embiid scored a season-high 37 points on Monday in Portland, and the way he got those points was the most encouraging sign.

Guerschon Yabusele had a posterizing dunk over Portland's Deni Avdija during the Sixers' 31-point second quarter. The Sixers have now won four straight and 10 of their last 13 games.
