Henrico County issued a boil water advisory Wednesday afternoon, on the third day of a regional water emergency triggered by a power outage at Richmond’s water treatment plant on Monday, Jan. 6 caused by a winter storm.

A water treatment plant power outage and subsequent malfunctions in Richmond on Monday have left multiple jurisdictions under boil water advisories.

The boil water advisory has now extended to Goochland County. In a Facebook post, Goochland County issued a boil water advisory for its utility customers in the East End of the county. According to Goochland,
