Slovenia on Friday became the first European country to ban weapons trading with Israel over the growing humanitarian crisis in the Palestinian enclave in Israel's ongoing war.

Slovenia has become the first country in the European Union to ban all weapons trade with Israel over its war on Gaza. The announcement comes two weeks after the Central European nation declared Israeli ministers persona non grata, the state news agency STA reported.

Slovenia has announced that it will ban the import, export and transit of all weapons to and from Israel in response to the country's actions in Gaza.
