Apple may see further fallout over its failure to comply with a court order that led to last week’s contempt ruling. A class action suit filed on behalf of developers claims that Apple's actions cost Pure Sweat Basketball (and other developers) revenue during the period it was found to have violated the original court order.

A California court bans Apple from collecting developer fees on web transactions, giving the massively popular game a chance to return.

In the meantime, Apple has changed the rules of the U.S. App Store, allowing developers to link to other payment options without paying Apple a commission. So even if this appealing process does take a long time, developers can reap the benefits of last week's ruling anyway.
