At Spotrac, the cotract-expert site, NFL guru Mike Ginnitti pegs Smith as a "roster bubble" player for 2025, meaning he could easily be cut, especially if the team's season keeps going south. There was a chance Smith could have played himself into an extension, but that chance seems to have faded.
