It's been nearly three weeks since the tragic passing of former NFL defensive tackle and Super Bowl champion Arthur Jones. Jones comes from a family of well-known athletes, with his younger brother Jon "Bones" Jones being arguably the most famous of all.
Aspinall vs Gane will mark the first heavyweight title fight since Jones finished Stipe Miocic at UFC 309 last November. The Rochester native later vacated the throne instead of unifying the titles against the Englishman, who was interim champ for a record length of time.
Eye pokes have been a persistent problem in mixed martial arts since the early days of the UFC. Tom Aspinall became the latest fighter to suffer from the issue, during his UFC 321 main event against Ciryl Gane.
