Jayson Tatum is going viral, and it’s not necessarily because he had a fantastic NBA stat line against the Cavaliers. It’s because of something he said that was caught on camera, and is being played over and over again on social media.
Star, rose to the occasion. He put together a dominant first half, racking up 30 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists as Boston entered halftime with a 74-64 lead. During the break, the NBA announced that Tatum’s stat line was "one for the history books.
Celtics' Jayson Tatum certainly believed that as he was in his element following the dominant run. Unfortunately, when the dust settled, the 18-time NBA champions walked away with a 123-116 defeat. NBA fans on X (formerly known as Twitter) trolled Tatum for his early celebration.
Putting a graphic on the broadcast, ESPN announced that Tatum is one of just three players in NBA history with at least 13,000 points and 4,000 rebounds before age 27. The other two players are Wilt Chamberlain and LeBron James.
