Hiring Our Heroes is teaming with partners in the trucking industry to give 500 CDL scholarships to veterans and spouses.

The U.S. Department of Commerce has awarded $742,180 to help a Georgia technical college pay for a concrete practice driving area for commercial driver license candidates.

A grant-funded program at CCAC hopes to fill some of those gaps by offering free training to current and former members of the military, as well as some family members.
