Major U.S. pharmacy chain Walgreens will shutter operations at 29 locations across 13 states by the end of May, continuing the company's recent store closures across the U.S.

Walgreens, one of the largest pharmacy chains in the United States, which announced in October that it would close approximately 1,200 locations over the next three years, is making good on those downsizing claims. According to the company’s website, 29 of its retail stores across the country will shutter later this month.
