Fresh off leading Florida to 36 wins and a national championship, the Gators have handed coach Todd Golden a fresh six-year contract that will make him one of the top five highest-paid coaches in the country.

Florida men's basketball coach Todd Golden signed a six-year, $40.5 million contract extension two months after leading the Gators to a national title, the program announced Tuesday. The deal will keep Golden in Gainesville through 2031 while making him one of the nation's highest-paid coaches.

The Florida Gators' basketball program and head coach Todd Golden reached the top of the world at the end of the 2024-25 season. They were able to knock off the Houston Cougars to win the national championship.
