Mayor Cherelle Parker announced a Snow Emergency beginning at 9 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, in Philadelphia. As a result, all vehicles must be moved off Snow Emergency Routes throughout the city. Crews will begin removing snow from parking lanes on emergency routes and the Philadelphia Police Department will tow parked vehicles off emergency routes.

Lafayette Mayor-President Monique Boulet has declared a state of emergency for Lafayette Parish. She signed the order today with the threat of extreme weather involving freezing temperatures and potential snow and icing of roads.
