The Chicago Sky star filed a trademark application over the weekend for the term, which refers to a rebound a player secures off her own missed shot. Although the term is relatively new, the “mebound” concept has hounded Reese throughout her first two WNBA seasons.

The Chicago Sky fell to 3-8 on the season with a 79-72 loss to the Washington Mystics on Tuesday. It was a particularly frustrating loss, as they got out to a large early lead before their offense dried up.

They fell to 3-8 overall and were unable to protect a 16-point advantage on their home court. As for Washington, it picked up a much-needed victory and improved to 5-7 with a second win in its last three games.
