GOSHEN — Underneath a fierce sun setting west of the grandstands the Pro Pulling League opened up its Elkhart County Fair series with its first session of truck and tractor pulls Wednesday evening.

Mike Burton of Goshen Township will be competing Friday in the truck pull at the Tuscarawas County Fair. He competes in around 35 pulls each year in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Michigan and Georgia.
