A suspect who took off from officers was taken to the hospital after a shooting involving Dixon police Sunday night, police said.

Police were shot at after a car chase ended in a crash on I-64 late Sunday night, according to Chesapeake police.

Police responded to the area for reports of a man with a gun. As they searched the neighborhood, one of the officers at the scene found the suspect.
