A key partner in Apple's bid to make luggage more traceable is Sita, a tech company that makes the baggage-tracking tech WorldTracer, which is used by over 500 airlines and ground handlers at more than 2,800 airports worldwide.

Apple has announced a new feature allowing users to share the location of an AirTag or Find My network with third parties, including airlines, to help travelers locate lost luggage.

A new Apple feature might help an airline find your lost luggage faster. In an announcement on Monday, Apple introduced "Share Item Location," a feature that lets you share the location of an AirTag or Find My accessory with a third party -- including airlines.

Apple partnered with over 15 airlines, including Delta and United, as part of a new AirTags feature expected to launch later this year.

Apple will now allow AirTag users to share location data with airlines in an effort to make lost luggage a thing of the past. Thanks to a new software update, the tech company wil
