As the government begins to reopen and federal operations normalize, attention is quickly shifting to what comes next—especially for the millions of Americans preparing to travel during the holidays.
Snow and mixed precipitation could create hazardous conditions in the upper Midwest throughout Tuesday. Dense fog, wind advisories and winter storm warnings may impact air travel in Chicago and Minneapolis. Additional impacts are expected across Wisconsin, upper Michigan, the Dakotas, Nebraska and Iowa.
Holiday travel can be a stressful time, and purchasing extra insurance isn’t always top of mind. Some have never used it. “Maybe in the future, like I said we do travel quite a bit, but as of now, you know, I don’t think so,” said Jessica Segarra, an Omaha resident flying to California. Others say they haven’t had luck with it.
