Federal agents detained city's chief finance officer Brad Lander as he guided a defendant out of immigration court on Tuesday.

New York City Comptroller and mayoral candidate Brad Lander was arrested at an immigration court on Tuesday, the latest U.S. politician to be swept up in President Donald Trump's immigration raids.

Lander’s arrest comes one week before New York City’s mayoral primary election is set to be held.
