Microsoft's new Xbox experience app goes into beta testing this week, allowing users to launch PC games from any store: Steam, Epic Store, Windows, etc.

Historically, there’s been no connection between Steam and Xbox. They’re separate storefronts and apps on PC, even if Microsoft has been releasing their games on Steam for the past few years.

This image in a recent blog post, which was quickly pulled down by Microsoft, hints at Steam integration for a future version of the Xbox app.
