Waymo has suspended driverless car services in Houston and other major Texas cities, and in Atlanta, after one of its vehicles was stranded by flooding during heavy rains that will likely also hinder travel in a large swath of the U.

A Flood Watch remains in effect through Monday evening as repeated rounds of rain raise flooding concerns across Southeast Texas.

Flood watch is now in place until 7 p.m. Monday  that includes just about all of SE Texas, including Harris County. 2-5" of rain are expected through the holiday weekend with isolated higher totals possible.

The Houston region is gearing up for possible severe weather ahead of a storm system expected to trigger a line of thunderstorms.

Overnight strong storms are expected, which could bring gusty wind, hail and heavy rain to Southeast Texas
