Tre Donaldson scored 23 points, Malik Reneau had 22 points, six rebounds and five assists and Miami beat Bethune-Cookman 101-61 on Thursday night.

Keyshawn Hall scored seven of his 28 points in overtime to lead No. 20 Auburn to a 95-90 victory against Bethune-Cookman in Steven Pearl’s coaching debut.

Michigan transfer guard Tre Donaldson led Miami with 23 points on 9-of-11 shooting and had four assists. Forward Malik Reneau, a Miami native who returned home after playing at Indiana, also had a big game with 22 points on 9-of-12 shooting with six rebounds, five assists, and two blocks.

Bethune-Cookman gave Auburn all it could handle in its season opener Monday, losing by just five in an overtime shootout. Coming off this near upset, the Wildcats entered Thursday’s game against Miami craving a signature win.
