Officials are still determining what caused a small aircraft to crash yesterday evening shortly into its flight.

Before Saturday's plane crash, two parachutists had died during Quantum Leap's 13 years of operation. Kevin P. Brennan, 42, an experienced jumper, died in June 2004 when he plunged 100 to 200 feet after having trouble with his parachute. Another experienced skydiver, Paul Burk, 30, of Maryland Heights, died in a fall in 1999 when the lines of his parachute tangled with those of another sky diver.
