President Donald Trump is "determined to continue with a "10% baseline tariff" against all countries despite his U.K. trade deal, the White House said.

The U.S. and United Kingdom have signed a trade deal, the first such agreement since President Donald Trump announced sweeping tariffs on trading partners earlier this year. The deal is set to lower tariffs on steel and automobiles and make it easier for the U.

U.K. officials said that Trump’s auto tariffs would go from 27.5% to 10% on a quota of 100,000 vehicles and the import taxes on steel and aluminum would go from 25% to zero. Starmer said Britain would preserve its health and safety standards on food products.
