The hunt has narrowed for murder suspect Travis Decker after hikers reported a sighting near a remote alpine lake in Washington.

Authorities say they believe they spotted Travis Decker, an ex-soldier wanted in the deaths of his three daughters, in the remote backcountry of Washington state.

Search crews in Washington state responded to a tip in the manhunt for Travis Decker, the Army veteran who is suspected of killing his three young daughters. Hikers told authorities a man who could be Decker was in the woods near where his daughters' bodies were found.

Travis Decker remained missing despite a multi-jurisdictional manhunt in effect for the 32-year old father and U.S. Army veteran.

Authorities believe they have tracked Travis Decker, an ex-soldier wanted in the death of his three young daughters, to Blewett Pass, an isolated stretch of the Cascades in central Washington.

Law enforcement believes they are closing in on murder suspect Travis Decker, the father accused of kidnapping and killing his three young daughters.

The Chelan County Sheriff's Office reports tracking teams believe Travis Decker is in the Blewett Pass/Highway 97 area. Anyone in the reported area is asked to remain on alert and report any suspicious activity.

Decker is deemed “dangerous” — and possibly armed — as he remains on the run a week after the bodies of his daughters Paityn, 9, Evelyn, 8, and Olivia, 5, were found bound and with plastic bags over their heads near an abandoned truck he’d been living out of.

Search teams are expanding into new areas and doubling back on old ground as they hunt for Travis Decker, the Army veteran charged with killing his 3 daughters.
