The Tigers were drubbed for the second straight game by the Texas Rangers, 6-1, dropping their first home series of the season.

Though the Tigers had built up more credibility by snagging five wins in a row, they had a tough pill to swallow in the second game of the series. They got away with a 2-1 win thanks to a dominant pitching performance from Tarik Skubal. Detroit did not get that type of outing from any of its pitching on Saturday night.

Corey Seager had two solo home runs and an RBI double, Jacob deGrom struck out a season-high 10 in five-plus innings and the Texas Rangers beat Detroit 10-3 on Saturday night to end the Tigers’ winning streak at five.
