Delhi has not acknowledged the loss of any of its planes and instead said it carried out successful strikes against what it said was "terrorist" infrastructure inside Pakistan.

Pakistan said it shot down five Indian fighter jets, which it identified as French- and Russian-origin fighter aircraft.

Islamabad: India on Thursday night shot down one F-16 and two JF-17 fighter jets after Pakistan tried to attack multiple locations in the Indian territory, claimed reports citing sources. The pilot of the F-16 aircraft was captured by the Indian forces.
