Fifteen people were arrested Tuesday after 150 protesters gathered in Center City to rally against the Trump administration's ICE operations in Philadelphia.

A vehicle was seen speeding through the crowd and several protesters were detained during the Tuesday demonstration that drew thousands to downtown Chicago voicing opposition to the Trump administration's stepped-up use of force against immigrants.

Protests against ICE are spreading across the U.S. as the Trump administration intensifies its response to gatherings in Los Angeles.

A Philadelphia police officer was injured and several protesters were arrested after a scuffle broke out during a march denouncing deportations Tuesday evening in Center City, police said.

Demonstrators marched through downtown Kansas City on Tuesday in protest of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) policies. The protest began near Southwest Boulevard and Avenida Cesar E. Chavez and moved into the downtown area, with some carrying Mexican flags and shouting anti-ICE slogans.

In true Bay Area fashion, Monday night’s protest had its own rhythm.

HOW WE GOT HERE: The protests erupted after Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers on Friday carried out raids in three locations across L.A., where dozens of people were taken into custody. Newsom called the raids “chaotic federal sweeps” that aimed to fill an “arbitrary arrest quota.”

A protest is expected to unfold Sunday afternoon outside the Main Gate of Camp Pendleton, where demonstrators are planning to gather to denounce the use of the military against civil protests in Los Angeles.
