Atlanta Braves catching prospect Drake Baldwin addressed how he feels about potentially beginning the season as the team's starter behind the plate.

It is absolutely no surprise that Drake Baldwin and AJ Smith-Shawver sit atop the list for the Atlanta Braves, with Drake earning a future value of 55 which is considered an above-average major leaguer - well in line with his skill set.

The Braves said the timetable is four to six weeks for Murphy’s return. A year ago, Murphy strained his oblique on Opening Day and missed two months. D’Arnaud stepped back into the primary role with Tromp as his backup while Murphy was out. Baldwin was in Double A at the time.

It’s been a long time since the Braves had an extended problem at catcher. Drake Baldwin is coming to make sure that there are no problems while Sean Murphy is out.
