Tributes have flooded in for Liverpool forward Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva after the pair died in a car accident in Spain in the early hours of Thursday morning. The two men died at the scene following an incident on the A52 near Cernadilla,

“Futebol Clube Penafiel expresses its deepest sympathy for the tragic death of Andre Silva and his brother Diogo Jota, victims of a road accident in the last few hours,” the club said.

Residents in the Portuguese town where Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva grew up have paid tribute. The Liverpool striker and his younger sibling were killed last week when their car crashed in northern Spain.
