J EFFERSON COUNTY, Ore. (KPTV) - A wildfire burning in Jefferson County and Wasco County has grown to more than 91,000 acres and is growing in different directions, driven by strong winds, fuel, and high temperatures.
BEND, Ore. (KATU) — The Cram Fire continues to grow as hot and windy weather is forecast for central Oregon on Thursday. Officials say the fire has burned 77,158 acres and remains uncontained. A Red Flag Warning is in effect until 10 p.m. on Friday. West winds will blow 15 to 25 mph, with gusts up to 35 mph, NWS Pendleton says.
The Cram Fire in Northern Jefferson County and now Wasco County is producing significant smoke in the area. The winds from the northeast have pushed the smoke along the 97 corridor today and south toward Redmond and Bend.
